I talked about how we were going to keep improving the kitchen, and it looks like I spoke too soon, because the kitchen got improved today! We got a new dishwasher installed(Yay! It's pretty.). And Dad put in this nifty drawer thing for our trashcan so it's a heck of a lot easier to get to.
Mom and Dad also bought a "hutch" for the kitchen from an unfinished wood store; which is possibly the coolest store we've been to in Texas. We bought a desk for me there too. And some bookcases. And a stool. And we'll probably end up going back! It's a great store. The wood is unfinished, so they can either send it off to get stained(like the bookshelves) or you can take it home and paint it yourself(like my desk and the hutch-thing).
Things are coming along with the house, but Dad keeps getting struck with the overwhelming compulsion to remove all cardboard from his sight. Even it that involves taking hundreds of books out of their boxes before we have shelves to put them on...
